The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) is proud to announce that students from its Mott Middle College Steel Band won the Michigan School Board and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) Outstanding Small Ensemble Competition.

Genesee ISD is excited to announce that students from its Genesee Early College Robotics Team, TESLA, placed 85th with 153 ranking points at the FIRST® in Michigan State Championship.

The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD), in collaboration with Genesee Health System and local area school districts, is hosting a Mental Health Symposium on March 14, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Genesee Career Institute Conference Center, G-5081 Torrey Road, Flint, MI.

Planning for college, being awarded scholarships, and receiving financial aid is a process! Many seniors are hoping to attend college in the fall after graduation, but they need help staying organized and focused when it comes to filling out college applications, scholarship applications, and most importantly, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Genesee County Career and College Access Network (GCCCAN), a program within the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD), is working hard to ensure that all high school seniors have the opportunity to apply to college. These efforts are supported by the Michigan College Access Network, school counselors, college advisors, and community members.
